Lesson 1 – Welcome and Introductions

Inner Healing becomes necessary because there has been an external disruption that has caused internal confusion. These external disruptions include childhood traumas, abuse, disappointment, disruptions in pivotal relationships, illnesses, dysfunctional generational patterns, etc. These disruptions lead to inner confusion consisting of unproductive thoughts and emotions. These unproductive thoughts and emotions then lead to unproductive behaviors.  These unproductive behaviors often have painful consequences, thus causing more disruption in your life.  But now, these disruptions you have brought yourself create even more inner confusion and sadness. 

This program’s objective is to help you engage in productive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so you can heal from painful experiences in your life. You are involved in becoming more aware of your emotions and thoughts and gaining more control of your behaviors. The outcome will be your ability to select people in your life who are a better fit for you and are more likely to be in long-term, mutually satisfying relationships.

You deserve to be happy and whole, to be in great relationships, to be fulfilled in your career, and to be healthy. If you are willing to do the work, you can achieve anything.

Become a full participant in this experience. If available, become a faithful journaler, do your assignments, engage in discussions, and attend the group session. You will get out of this experience what you put into it.

Each week, you’ll have a group session, a group discussion prompt, and a journal assignment. You may also be given some additional reading for the week. If you have any questions, be sure to reach out.
